Fertility Testing at IVF Spring

Your fertility journey starts with understanding. Whether you’re actively trying, planning ahead, or simply curious, fertility testing gives you answers, not assumptions. At IVF Spring, we combine advanced diagnostics with a supportive, judgment-free environment to give you a clear picture of your reproductive health.

With every test, you’ll know exactly where you stand and what you can do next—without the guesswork.

Who Should Consider Fertility Testing?

Male Fertility Assessment

Male factor infertility contributes to 40–50% of infertility cases. At IVF Spring, our tests look beyond the numbers assessing both quantity and quality of sperm.

Semen Volume
Measures the amount of semen produced during ejaculation. What it tests: Low volume may indicate issues with seminal vesicles, prostate, or blockages, while very high volume may dilute sperm concentration.
Semen Analysis
Sperm Vitality
Checks the percentage of live sperm in a sample. What it tests: Determines whether a significant portion of sperm are alive and capable of fertilization — low vitality can reduce conception chances.
Semen Analysis
Sperm DNA Fragmentation Test
Assesses the quality of sperm DNA, which is crucial for healthy embryo development. What it tests: Detects breaks or damage in the genetic material — high fragmentation may contribute to infertility or miscarriage.
Lab Analysis
Hormonal Profile
Evaluates key reproductive hormones that affect sperm production. What it tests: Measures testosterone, LH, FSH, and prolactin — imbalances may reduce sperm count and quality.
Blood Test
Scrotal Ultrasound
Examines the testicles and surrounding structures for abnormalities. What it tests: Detects varicocele, cysts, tumors, or blockages that may impair fertility.
Ultrasound Scan
Infectious Disease Screening
Checks for infections that can affect sperm health and reproductive function. What it tests: Screens for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and other pathogens that can damage sperm or reproductive organs.
Blood Test

Female Fertility Assessment

Female fertility is influenced by hormone levels, ovarian reserve, ovulation, and the health of the uterus and fallopian tubes. Our assessments are designed to give you a detailed overview, using non-invasive diagnostics and expert interpretation.

Hormone Tests
A comprehensive blood test panel measuring reproductive and thyroid hormones to assess your fertility health. What it tests: Ovarian function, cycle regulation, ovulation readiness, and thyroid balance (FSH, LH, AMH, estradiol, prolactin, TSH, T3, T4).
Blood Test
Ultrasonography
A pelvic or transvaginal ultrasound to visualise the uterus, endometrium, and ovaries. What it tests: Uterine structure, endometrial thickness, ovarian health, follicle count, and signs of conditions like PCOS or fibroids.
Transvaginal/Pelvic Ultrasound
Tubal Patency Test
Specialised imaging to check if your fallopian tubes are open and functioning normally. What it tests: Presence of blockages or abnormalities using HSG, saline infusion sonography, or laparoscopy if required.
Imaging
Ovarian Reserve Assessment
A combination of blood and ultrasound tests to estimate your remaining egg supply. What it tests: Egg quantity and quality using AMH levels and antral follicle count (AFC) via baseline ultrasound.

Fertility Testing, Made Simple

From booking your test to understanding your results, we’ve made the process quick, clear, and stress-free so you can focus on what matters most.

Step 1: Understanding You, Inside and Out

Your journey starts with a one-on-one consultation. We’ll discuss your health history, lifestyle, menstrual cycles (if applicable), and your goals. This helps us create a complete picture and tailor your testing plan.

Step 2: Baseline Tests & Scans

We recommend tests based on your profile.
For women: We usually suggest blood tests (AMH, FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin), a pelvic ultrasound, and antral follicle count.
For men: If needed, we may recommend a hormonal panel (Testosterone, FSH, LH) and a lifestyle assessment.

Step 3: Specialized Assessments

Depending on your needs, women may undergo ovulation tracking, HSG (to check fallopian tube health), or additional scans.
For men: Semen analysis to check sperm count, motility, and morphology, as well as scrotal ultrasound or DNA fragmentation testing, if required.

Step 4: Results Review & Fertility Roadmap

Once results are ready, we meet again—this time with answers. We explain what each result means and, if needed, suggest next steps such as treatment options, lifestyle adjustments, or simply reassurance if everything looks healthy.

Genetic Testing Process

Genetic testing uncovers chromosomal or inherited conditions that may impact embryo health, pregnancy, or IVF success.

Couple Karyotyping
Analyzes the number and structure of chromosomes in both partners. What it tests: Detects chromosomal abnormalities that could lead to infertility, miscarriage, or congenital conditions.
Blood Test
Y-Chromosome Microdeletion Test (for males)
Detects missing genetic material on the Y chromosome that affects sperm production. What it tests: Helps determine the cause of low sperm count or azoospermia.
Blood Test
Carrier Screening
Identifies if you or your partner carry genetic mutations that could be passed to your child. What it tests: Screens for inherited conditions like cystic fibrosis, thalassemia, and sickle cell anemia—knowing carrier status supports informed family planning.
Blood Test
Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)
Checks embryos for chromosomal abnormalities before IVF transfer. What it tests: Detects genetic disorders and ensures only the healthiest embryos are selected for implantation.
Embryo Biopsy & Lab Analysis
Whole Exome Sequencing for Couples
Provides a detailed analysis of all protein-coding regions of both partners’ DNA. What it tests: Identifies rare or complex genetic variants that may impact fertility, pregnancy, or future child health.

Your questions,
answered

Can't find what you're looking for?

When should I consider getting a fertility test?

You can start testing as early as age 25 if you’re experiencing irregular periods, painful cycles, or simply want to understand your fertility status. It’s also recommended if you’ve been trying to conceive for over 6–12 months or are planning for future fertility.

Is fertility testing painful?

Most tests are non-invasive or minimally invasive. Blood draws and ultrasounds are typically quick and well-tolerated. We make the process as comfortable as possible.

How long does the testing process take?

Basic testing and results can be completed within 1–2 visits. Some specialized assessments may take a few days, especially if genetic testing is involved.

Can I take these tests even if i'm not tying to get pregnant now?

Yes, and in fact it’s recommended. Early testing gives you more choices and time to plan ahead.

Is genetic testing necessary for everyone?

No, but it’s recommended in certain cases such as recurrent miscarriages, family history of genetic conditions, or if you’re undergoing IVF and want to screen embryos for chromosomal issues.

Will my insurance cover these tests?

Coverage varies based on the provider and policy. Our team can guide you through your options and help with the paperwork.
