It is a stimulant. It can alter hormonal levels in females hence affecting the functionality of the corpus luteal and the process of ovulation. This can lead to infertility.

 

Alcohol

Consuming alcohol can cause the estrogen hormone to rise hence reducing the secretion of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) which suppresses folliculogenesis and the process of ovulation. It can also interfere with the ovum maturity, affect the growth of blastocyst and implantation.
